Hope Team Crawls To Change with Sherpa Mission (Crawling around the perimeter of Washington Sq. Park To Raise Funds for Schools in Nepal) When? Saturday, December 3, 2005 (Crawl Starts: 10:00am) Where? The Arch in Washington Square Park (North side) Main Participants Mr. Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa, 12-time Everest Summiteer and the fastest person ever to climb Mt. Everest and Mr. L.G. Khambache Sherpa, a NYC cab driver, who crawled the length of Manhattan, to raise funds for Tsunami victims in May 2005. There is no cost to crawl, though crawlers are asked to purchase a logo patch ($15). Participants are advised to bring kneepads and gloves. To participate or to sponsor a crawler contact Event Coordinator, Mr. LG Khambache at 917-609-1005 All proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Plainsboro’s efforts to help three schools in Nepal obtain new classroom space, new classroom furniture, water taps, toilet blocks, library books, and uniforms.
